Before starting your apprenticeship, did you know what to expect or have any concerns about studying an apprenticeship?
“I knew mostly what to expect and didn’t have any concerns.”
How does the support you receive at SRSCC help you in working towards your Apprenticeship?
“It keeps me up to date with what I need to do and gives me lots of help with my exams which helps me in my revision.”
Have you experienced any struggles or tough moments along the way? If so, how have you overcome them?
“After coming back from annual leave, I had quite a lot of revision to do before the exam but I’ve managed to get it done by putting more time into my revision.”
How has the Apprenticeship help you grow as a person and develop your professional skills?
“The apprenticeship has helped me grow by developing the knowledge of my role and allowing me to have more advanced conversations with colleagues about aspects of my business.”
Have you had the opportunity to apply what you’ve learnt in real-world scenarios?
“Often in supplier meetings integrative negotiation is used, I did not know it was called this previously. I can now identify it in meetings.”
What are you enjoying most about your apprenticeship experience?
“I enjoy the workshop module calls for the exams, they are very informative.”
What advice would you give to someone contemplating whether to enroll onto an Apprenticeship?
“Make sure you have a planned amount of time each week to carry out your learning.”
Have you considered continuing with the next level of study? Would you remain on Apprenticeship route or choose the commercial pathway?
“I would like to remain on the Apprenticeship and continue onto level 5.”

Prior to the Apprenticeship, the Team undertook various training courses while operating at different levels. Since the Apprenticeship program commenced the Team has become more aligned saving the Constabulary £3.6m while reducing risks and awarding many compliant contracts.
The Team also managed supplies during the Pandemic ensuring 100% delivery of PPE and requirements for agile working while installing the Oracle system, with the Apprenticeship being a key factor in enabling the Team to deliver this
